Jitter Javascript update for MaxMSP 4.5.7 Windows users

Hello all,

Sorry for the cross post. Just wanted to make sure everybody using
Jitter Javascript capabilities in MaxMSP 4.5.7 on windows found out
about an updated jsjitter.mxe which solves problems with accessing
Jitter object attributes in Javascript. It may be downloaded from the
Incremental update page. There are no issues with the Macintosh
version, btw.

Let us know if you find any problems with the new version.

Thanks,

FFTexternals 0.2 for Windows

Dears,

FFTexternals 0.2 (by Nathan Wolek)/, “a small collection of externals
used for various spectral processing. Includes objects for computing
amplitude in decibels and a few complex math functions”/, are now
available for Windows XP. It has been a while since these are ready but
i was waiting for Nathan to confirm they behave as expected. It seems
so. There’s no link yet on Nathan’s site but you can download them here,
as usual : http://francois.eudes.free.fr/maxmsp_temp_page.htm

I’ve also made a port of his gverb~ external, available at the same adress.

Cheers

Quartz Compositions

I bimbled into this on a break…

http://eskatonia.net/qcblog/quartz-composer-for-vjs/

it mentions Max/MSP and how “Future versions of MAX/MSP will probably add support for playback of Quartz Compositions and use of core image filters which will allow the best of both worlds”

could this be true… would it make sense for me to start playing about with quartz composer in my spare time (if I had any) in preperation for this move, or is it a load of old twaddle.

I like the idea of using hardware acceleration to sort out my UI issues… and make nice video maybe…

Let us know c74
