Monosynth Templates

For what they’re worth, here are four basic monosynth “templates” I’ve come
up with. One pair uses a gated linsegr instrument, the other an always-on
instrument with lineto for envelopes. Two incorporate glide, the others
don’t.

Their main strengths are how they handle legato and glide.

Their main limitation is that note events cannot overlap. I can’t see how
readily to incorporate that feature, and doing so would vastly complicate
these “templates” – which otherwise could hopefully be educational.

The .csd’s should work on all Windows Csounds (and have been tested on
CsoundAV, flCsound and Csound5Beta).

Many thanks to those whose comparable – and more advanced – efforts have
been instructive to me; and to Josep who requested what I’d been able to
design along these lines. (My efforts this go-around were considerably more
productive than several months ago, IMO.)

pvsmix for mixing two pc signals

pvsmix

Description

Syntax
fsig pvsmix fsigin1, fsigin2

Performance

Examples
Example 289. Example
fsig1        pvsanal  asig1,1024,256,1024,0  ; pvoc analysis
fsig2   pvsanal  asig2,1024,256,1024,0
fsigout        pvsmix  fsig1, fsig2         ; mix signals
aout        pvsynth fsigout              ; pvoc synthesis
