new piece: Herald of Water, Herald of Air

Hi all,

Just posted a new one:
http://mysterybear.net/article/34/herald-of-water-herald-of-air

This is a 16 minute piece, but there are two different versions: “Herald of Water” and “Herald of Air”. They start slow but build, so be careful with volume based on the level at the beginning. Hope you enjoy it/them.

Made with Csound and blue.

Csound 5.10 for OS X 10.5 is now available

An installer package containing Csound 5.10 built for OS X 10.5 “Leopard” is
(finally) available to download on the Sourceforge pages of the Csound
project. Many apologies for taking so long to finish this release.

This package is built for PowerPC Macs since that is what I have available
but it should work on Intel Macs as well (if slowly). An Intel-specific
package or a Universal binary will hopefully follow once I figure out the
details of building it.

To obtain this new release, download the file

 Csound5.10-float-PPC-OSX10.5.tar.gz

from

Please post any problems or questions here.

Thanks!

myu Max-Unity Interoperability Toolkit v.1.0 Released

It is my great pleasure to announce immediate availability of the Ό [myu] Max-Unity Interoperability Toolkit version 1.0. Ό [myu] is designed to simplify communication between the Max/MSP/Jitter http://www.cycling74.com and Unity3D http://www.unity3d.com rapid prototyping environments. Utilizing the TCP network packets, Ό [myu] allows for easy bi-directional control of Unity3D and Max/MSP/Jitter assets, as well as importing of dynamic Jitter textures into Unity3D scene. Apart from the Jitter-specific texture communication protocol, Ό [myu] relies upon the netsend/netreceive framework, thus making it also compatible with Pure-Data http://www.pure-data.info.

Max/Msp/Jitter and Unity3D logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

WHY Ό?
Max/MSP/Jitter and Pure-Data offer unprecedented flexibility in digital signal processing, particularly audio, as well as easy integration of external controllers and sensors, video, and 3D assets, while Unity3D is an advanced scalable and optimized 3D gaming engine with integrated intuitive scene editor and physics engine. By coupling their strengths Ό [myu] aims to expand their rapid prototyping potential with minimal integration overhead.

Ό [myu] was developed at DISIS http://disis.music.vt.edu and is available for download from the DISIS website http://disis.music.vt.edu/main/portfolio.html
