csound~ fixes for WinXP and Mac (ppc)

Hi all,

I’ve updated csound~_v1.0.1.zip with binaries that
should fix the “error 14001” problem in WinXP and
the “csound~ doesn’t load and doesn’t report an error”
problem on Mac (ppc) with MaxMSP 4.5.7.

You can download the updated zip file here:

Max/MSP/Jitter Workshops for Beginners – Atlanta and Los Angeles

During the month of June, we will be holding two beginners-only  Max/MSP/Jitter workshops: one in Atlanta at Eyedrum June 4-7, and another one at SAE in Los Angeles June 28-July 1.

These workshops are specifically for beginners only, and are intended to provide an introduction to Max, MSP, and Jitter together as a unit. They concentrate on the basics of working with Max for all users in a variety of situations including audio and image processing.

The topics to be covered in the workshops include an overview of the Max, MSP, and Jitter objects in their natural habitat, basic audio and video processing techniques, strategies for patch design and creation, user interface design, and techniques for better patching, learning & problem solving. Particular emphasis will be given to learning about and taking advantage of Max’s data neutrality — the ability to interconnect audio and video image processing data.

These workshops place an emphasis on strategies for learning Max/MSP/Jitter that can be applied after the workshop ends.

Participants are required to bring their own laptop (Windows or Mac) with Max/MSP/Jitter installed. A three-month software authorization will be provided with the $300 class fee.
