I’ve posted a new version of Qutecsound (0.3.6) here:

I’ve skipped the windows version again for this release… Help from a
windows user with a working environment is greatly appreciated.

New in 0.3.6:
-Implemented Menu and console and checkbox widgets (now you can have
menus, checkboxes and the csound console in the widget panel)
-Added actions to indent, unindent, comment and uncomment sections
-New help options in the menu to show Gen routines and Opcodes overview
-Labels within the orc are now colored.
-Font sizes more closely match MacCsound.
-Better internal handling of MacCsound sections

Fixed:
-Compilation report is now printed when running threaded and a
compilation error occured
-Tabs were stripped from the file, now fixed.

Let me know any issues and ideas.

I’ve skipped the windows version for this release, as something broke
in my build environment on Windows and I haven’t managed to put it
back. Help from a windows user with a working environment is greatly
appreciated.

New:
-Implemented Knob widget
-MacPresets section in csd is now maintained internally and not displayed

Fixed:
-Improved stability when threaded
-When opening an orc file, the corresponding sco is opened
-Files from MacCsound no longer crash QuteCsound
-If file is already open, go to the tab, instead of opening again

Known issues:
-Some stability problems remain specially when triggering many events
or when playing stopping repeatedly and quickly on Mac OS X.
-The functionality of widgets receiving from outvalue was regressed,
as it is currently causing instability. Will be put back in a future
release.

Please try and let me know any ideas or issues you find.

Hi all,

It’s tuesday again, so here’s a new beta (maybe I should call it alpha
still…) release of QuteCsound.

New:

Implemented buttons which trigger realtime score events.
Implemented receiving and sending values using invalue and outvalue.
Font, Font size and alignment now available for label widgets.

NOTE: The default behavior for QuteCsound is now to receive/send
values using invalue and outvalue. You can activate usage of
chnget/chnset in the preferences.

Known issues:
– Many MacCsound examples crash QuteCsound
– QuteCsound is very unstable on OS X when Csound is used threaded.
