Continuing its policy of promoting and encouraging music creation, Miso Music Portugal has created in 2005 a program of artistic residencies in the recently created LEC (Lab for Electroacoustic Creation) in order to stimulate electroacoustic creation. This program provides technical and human support and at the same time establishes partnerships with several foreign studios which enables creation residencies abroad.

Readings: CALL for Works’ readings

With this project, the Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble looks forward to promote the development of music writing for its basic ensemble formation, which is flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano and electronics, as well as offering an experimental lab for composers. This is also meant to provide for a first encounter between composers and the Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble and a way for them to meet, musically speaking.

The presented score may be just a small fragment of a piece, but it must include the parts for each of the instruments. All of the 5 instruments which complete the basic formation of the ensemble must be part of the piece, except for the electronics which is optional in this context since the time available for rehearsal (45 min.) will not be enough for the use of it.

Composers are requested to be present for the readings rehearsal. Next readings rehearsal: 12th June 2009 at Centro Cultural de Cascais.
